EU4Belarus – SALT Scholarships

The European Union under the “EU4Belarus: Solidarity with the people of Belarus” programme is launching a call for proposals for EU4Belarus – SALT (Support for Advanced Learning and Training) scholarships for Belarusian students who have been studying at universities in Lithuania, Latvia, Czech Republic, and Poland since 2020/2021 academic year, as well as for those who will start their studies in the academic years 2021/22 and 2022/23.

The scholarship (450 EUR per month) is available for the entire period of study at the bachelor’s or master’s level and is paid from September to June. Additionally, a one-time reimbursement of travel expenses will be provided. Students of Lithuanian, Latvian, Czech, and Polish universities and those who have applied for the academic year 2021/22 and fulfil at least one of the following criteria may apply:

  1. Those who have suffered repression during the protests related to the 2020 presidential election and have been forced to leave Belarus;
  2. Those experiencing financial difficulties or who does not have enough funds to live in one of the four countries listed;
  3. Those who have a disability.

Application deadline is September 6, 2021.
